The location of the Gurdwara, the southernmost point district of mainland Asia facing the breezy Straits of Melaka, and natural environment, makes it a very ideal place to have small programmes (150-200paxs). Almost every visiting Sangat who visits the Gurdwara makes a request to stay for a few days and experience the serenity of Gurdwara.
To support this request, the committee has embarked on a novel idea to raise the RM 2,000,000 required for both projects. We aim to raise RM 1,053,000 through the proceeds of conducting Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji Prayers. Each path will cost RM 5,000 of which RM 3,000 will be channelled towards the new accommodation block and RM 2,000 to be used for the Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji Path for the donor.
Currently we have raised RM 325,000 through government funding and almost 75 individuals have pledged RM5,000 for conducting the Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji. We are confident more Sikh families/Individuals/companies will step up, post the launch of the project on March 28th 2026.
To make this project a reality we would need the funding first to build the accommodation block, this is to ensure the respective donor will have proper accommodation, when the Sri Akhand Sahib Ji Prayers are being conducted. The accommodation block will have 18 rooms, and 12 rooms will be made available for the donor (each room can house 4 pax complete with attached bathroom, hot/cold water, air-conditioning, dressing area). There are more details of the project on our website.
The first 351 donors' names will be put on a special plaque in the new complex, together with the history of the Gurdwara. The progress will be highlighted on our dedicated Gurdwara website and social media.
The block will be directly connected to the Main Darbar Sahib, ensuring ease of access-especially for senior members of the Sangat.
